ecomental: well mr recy, what do you think is the most important direction shown by your works?
recy: You see, the whole world seems still to be running like the elemantary rules of nature: competition. people with culture and intellect should learn to be able to deposite the fear of loosing against an enemy. what is an enemy? Do you really believe time of life is not worth enough to spend happiness and love instead of fear and concurrence?
ecomental: certainly everybody knows already that the ressources of planet earth are even enough for doubled population, so in the end it`s only a question of "Umverteilung". But what`s your idea how to work against the human egoismn?
recy: you have to show that the usual kind of view to our lifes, to our way of thinking about job, money, satisfaction, Sicherheit, thinking about > life and death< in the end is normaly not defined by yourself. in every moment your actuall chance to win can only be fulfilled if you forget the never ending run of the old strategy of >when and then<. You will see that you never will reach this aim. you have to forget the vokabual "winning".
ecomental: but in the end people are right when they say that it is more comfortable living with a heater, cars and motorbikes, fridge, citrus fruits in wintertimes, clean and correct beds for sleeping or having sex and all this stuff - isn`t it?
recy: It depends on the personal ability of each member of our global village to feel (and not only to collect viewpoints distributed by medias) the understanding of being alive just in the smallest (?) events of your live. everybody finds it romantic to inlight some fire, but none of theme wants to do this daily in winter times: asked why? You feel in a hurry? wants to be at pm 8.00 in the cinema, to watch a movie, maibey romantic film about people with fire and so on ..? please don`t be so "scheißbequem" to believe this running joke about lifestyle and what it should be like!
ecomental: it sounds a little bit philosophical, like eastern cultures ... in the end: what do you express in your work?
recy: the good old story of stonewashed jeans, the story of patina, and the story of personal history, die sache mit dem flickenteppich ... all this signals show, that everything depends on your imagination. images produced by your brain instead of reproduced image-advices. luckyness you can find in the advantage of the breaks of things instead of their correctness. to cause problems instead of cleaning up a boring surface.
ecomental: you think, using second way materials make people recognise that "damage" is like a little spring for creativity and in the end for good live?
recy: it seems that you are always in hardcore influence of your surrounding, of your daily environment. it`s always the same: people and things around you are your everyday`s teacher, so try to organise this importance. always comparing the millions of seconds of your lifetime before with the things reflected by environment by each actual moment. if you watch a crime you may think "that`s unmoralic", if you see people laughing you are used to say "thats funny", you see mothers with babies using planes and elevators and say "well that`s comfortable", but in the end you know that, by using all this flowers of materialistic consume (loving their own children more then anybody else on this earth) they destroy theire kids` natural basics. just children would be able to live without competition, are slaves of parents love. working with second way materials is the fun for myself to train all this little chances by incident and mistake, by freedom instead of conformismn. nevertheless in the end I like to produce series connected with the basic hope for distribution of this objects into the lifes of other people, into teir daily environment. so this design should speak the language of tpersonal historyhe idea of .
